2004 Spring Updates

May 10 - All teams, exception being the 18's, were active this weekend. The 10's through 13's participated in the Indiana Association AAU Level I State Finals with the Bill Cherry-led 11's winning the state championship game 53-24 over the Indiana Outlaws. The 11's, leading just 6-5 after the first quarter, utilized a 30-1 spurt in the second quarter to lead 36-6 by the break. The 12's and 13's both lost in their respective championship games while the 10's placed 3rd ... The 14's through 17's participated in the AAU Super Regional in Fishers, Indiana with the 15's and 16's winning the tournament championships and qualifying for AAU Nationals. The 17's also qualified for AAU Nationals by placing 3rd. .... (more coming).
April 26 - The 10's and 11's both went undefeated in their respective AAU State Regional this past weekend while the 12's and 13's head into action this weekend.
April 19 - The 18's defeated the 17's by a score of 70-46 in the 18u championship game of the St. Vincent's Spring Slam last weekend at The Sport Zone in Indianapolis. The 15's beat the Rebel Red 16's by a 63-50 score for the 16u division championship. The Ntume Jets 15u team defeated the 14's 39-30 in the 15u division championship. The Jets' 12u team beat the 11's by ten points in the championship game.
April 13 - The 16's, coached by Patrick McKee, placed 3rd out of 32 teams in the 17U Open division at the Deep South Classic last weekend in North Carolina. The tournament was played at Duke University, University of North Carolina and North Carolina State University. The Black Cats beat the Kansas Dream Team 17's 78-42, the Queen City Jaguars 17's 53-32, Indiana Red 17's 61-59 before falling 37-35 to the East Bay Xplosion 17's in the semi-final. In the 3rd place game, the FBC Gold 17's fell to the Black Cats 56-38.
March 22 - GBI/Black Cat Invitational in Plainfield - The 12u and 13u teams played up age groups and won championships over the weekend. Bob Faris' 12u team won the 13u championship while Matt Arnold's 13u team won the 15u championship.
March 12 - All web sites contain information regarding the 2004 teams. Some of the sites are not updated as well as the others. Pictures will likely be added some time later this month or in April. Everything posted on this web site during 2003 can be found at the 2003 Index link to the left.
